In the early 1970s, he formed the band \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb\u003eEly Combo\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, which was soon joined by Belizean singer \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb\u003eAnthony Jones\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. Together they recorded only a couple of albums, packed with covers of reggae and funk hits.
