However, following the birth of \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ehis daughter, he took a hiatus from touring to dedicate himself to his family and cultivate his craft as a \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003efull-time local musician in Birmingham, AL. During this time, he honed his skills through countless monthly \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eresidencies at bars and restaurants, playing everything from laid-back brunch sets to raucous late-night \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eclubs. It was during this time that he perfected his captivating one-man show, now dubbed \"Folk n' Roll.\" \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAfter years of refining his act for local crowds, Hollingsworth began working with longtime friend and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eformer bandmate Matt Patton (Drive by Truckers\/Dexateens\/Laura Jane Grace) who owns and operates \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDial Back Sound, a studio and record label based out of Water Valley, MS.
