In celebration of John Coltrane's centennial, this 3-LP box set includes all 3 albums recorded with Wilbur Harden in 1958 for Savoy Records: Mainstream 1958, Tanganyika Strut and Jazz Way Out. Featuring players including Tommy Flanagan, Curtis Fuller, Doug Watkins, Louis Hayes, Art Taylor and more. Cut from the original tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio, the album is pressed on 180-gram black vinyl at RTI and housed in Stoughton tip-on jackets, with new liner notes from Syd Schwartz.
