His extraordinary compositions are given thrilling performances by a diverse ensemble featuring Kenny Dorham, Joe Henderson, Eric Dolphy, Richard Davis, and Tony Williams. Blue Note Classic Vinyl Series is all-analog, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes.
