Ryuichi Sakamoto is a legendary figure in film scoring, having won numerous prestigious awards including the 60th Academy Award for Best Original Score, the 42nd British Academy Film Award for Best Original Score, two Golden Globe Awards for Best Original Score, the World Soundtrack Society Lifetime Achievement Award, and the 11th Asian Film Awards for Best Original Score. He was also awarded the Officer rank of the French Order of Arts and Letters. *Love After Love* is an adaptation of Eileen Chang's 1943 acclaimed novel of the same name, boasting an internationally renowned behind-the-scenes team, including director Ann Hui (winner of the Venice Film Festival's Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement), screenwriter Wang Anyi, cinematographer Christopher Doyle, costume and makeup designer Emi Tada, and music supervisor Ryuichi Sakamoto.
*Love After Love*, which won the Best Original Film Score award at the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards, marks Sakamoto's first collaboration with Bluebird Pictures and director Ann Hui. The film's original soundtrack vinyl record has received enthusiastic praise from moviegoers and music lovers since its release. The second edition of "Love After Love" uses silver vinyl and features a brand-new hand-drawn cover, making it a worthy collector's item.
