Released in 1964, Confidentiel presents Serge Gainsbourg in a stripped-back, intimate setting. With only double bass and electric guitar, the album favors closeness over orchestration, letting his melodies and lyrical nuance take center stage. Subtle jazz and chanson influences shape a quiet, late-night atmosphere filled with irony and tenderness. A concise and focused statement, Confidentiel remains one of Gainsbourg's most distinctive and understated works. Limited edition on clear vinyl, individually numbered out of 500.
