Since breaking through in 2016, Åsa Söderqvist's ShitKid has built a reputation as one of the most unpredictable and compelling acts around, constantly challenging expectations and refusing to follow convention. After abruptly ending the project in 2020 and stepping away from music entirely, ShitKid returns in 2026 with a live comeback and a series of retrospective releases.
The Essential (Vol. 2) focuses on the slower, more experimental side of the ShitKid catalogue, following the rawer, rock-driven Vol. 1. Curated by Åsa herself, the compilation brings together key tracks from across the project's career.
