Beautiful Mistakes is Skerryvore’s most ambitious and deeply personal album to date — a collection that celebrates the beauty found in life’s imperfections. Recorded with acclaimed producer Jamie Squire (The 1975), the album captures the band at their most honest, blending heartfelt songwriting with the energy and spirit that have made them one of Scotland’s most beloved musical exports.
Across 13 tracks, Skerryvore weave together their signature mix of soaring melodies, powerful storytelling and roots-driven musicianship. From the uplifting title track, inspired by the village of Tiree and the band’s early days, to the poignant tribute “Singing Up In Heaven”, the album explores themes of love, loss, resilience and self-discovery. Highlights include the emotionally charged “The Game”, the euphoric “To Be With Your Eyes”, and the stunning duet “While I’m Breathing”, featuring acclaimed singer-songwriter Tamzene.
For more than two decades, Skerryvore have captivated audiences around the world with their unique fusion of folk, rock and Celtic influences. On Beautiful Mistakes, they continue to push their sound forward while staying true to the passion and authenticity at the heart of their music.
A powerful and uplifting collection of songs, Beautiful Mistakes showcases Skerryvore at the peak of their creative powers and confirms their place as one of the UK’s leading contemporary folk bands.
