Since 1996, The Embrooks have been flying the flag for 60s-inspired garage rock, freakbeat and psychedelia. Their fifth album, Fragments Of Yesterday, finds the trio exploring everything from the raw garage attack of 'Closed Doors' and 'That's When Happiness Began' to the folk-rock jangle of 'My Way, It's Here' and the acid folk of 'Where Are We Going (Life Takes Different Paths)'. Alongside their trademark fuzz guitars and vintage melodies, celeste, hammered dulcimer, autoharp, trumpet and recorders add plenty of variety to a record steeped in the more adventurous corners of the 1960s.
