The immortal garage rock legends The Fleshtones are celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2026! To commemorate the occasion, Yep Roc Records is reissuing the album that capped off the first-half of their career: 2001's Solid Gold Sound. It's a landmark record for a band that, unlike their contemporaries, have not dialed down the tempos to compensate for osteoporosis, they have not lost anything on their fastball, and continue to throw it for strikes. Solid Gold Sound was released in a very limited quantity in 2001 and has grown to be quite pricey in recent years. Yep Roc is honored to present this album in it's highest quality for it's 25th anniversary, fully remastered and pressed on gold vinyl. This pressing also includes previously unreleased bonus tracks from these Solid Gold sessions: "Drink, Drank, Drunk" and a cover of The Orlons' "The Wah-Watusi!"
