The Mighty Rootsmen Strike Back is a groundbreaking reunion of reggae legends, reimagining rock and pop classics with soul, rhythm, and heart. Featuring Toots Hibbert, Gregory Isaacs, Mykal Rose, Luciano, and the legendary rhythm duo Sly & Robbie, the album delivers fresh reggae versions of timeless songs by The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Bee Gees, The Turtles, The Beatles, Carole King / James Taylor, and more. This is the last time these icons appeared together on a single record, making it both a tribute and a celebration of their enduring legacies.
Produced by Ralph Sall (Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Cat Stevens) and recorded at Kingston's iconic Anchor Studios, this album celebrates reggae's roots while boldly pushing it's creative boundaries. With soulful grooves and irresistible melodies, The Mighty Rootsmen Strike Back transforms songs of love, unity, and resilience into a vibrant, feel-good experience-perfect for fans of reggae and classic rock alike. "A work of uncommon pedigree and timeless vibes." David Katz (Reggae historian)
